Adelaide’s Homeless Connect: Homelessness Health and Housing Expo is now in its fourth year. In 2010, the Homelessness Health and Housing Expo attracted more than 600 people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and were able to access over 50 services that can assist with housing, health and other basic needs.

The aim of the Homeless Connect: Homelessness, Health and Housing Expo is to:

  • Provide opportunities for interaction between homeless people and services and staff working in supportive roles

  • Improve the health, well-being and housing outcomes of those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

  • Provide opportunities for networking between service providers across the homeless, health and housing sectors

  • Provide opportunity for greater community awareness and education between local community members, people experiencing homelessness and the services designed to support them

Below is a fantastic short film created at Adelaide’s 2008 Homeless Connect: Homelessness, Health and Housing Expo by young Aboriginal film makers who have previously experienced homelessness.
